Journal Policies

  1. SABTON Multidisciplinary Research Journal publishes articles submitted by professionals and graduate students in the fields of Mathematics, Management, Agri-Fishery, Education, Engineering, Entrepreneurship, Language, Literature, Technology, Humanities, and Social Sciences.
  2. Accepted papers include research articles and book reviews.
  3. Manuscripts must be 6,000 to 8,000 words in length including the references. Abstract must be 250 to 300 words with five to seven key words. However, papers beyond the required number of words may be accepted at the editorial board’s discretion.
  4. All submissions must be in docx format (Word 2010 or higher) or doc format (older Word version). Authors shall submit two files of the manuscript. One with the author’s contact details and the other one without contact details for double-blind peer review purposes.
  5. Appropriate subject heading shall be used based on the nature of submission, as follow:
    • Article Submission – Surname
    • Review submission – Surname
    • Book review – Surname
  6. Authors shall adhere to the following guidelines:
    • Title must not be more than seventeen words.
    • Contact details of the author (s) must be provided to include the name(s) of the author(s) together with their affiliations (university) and e-mail address(es).
    • All pages should be double-spaced, have margins of one inch, and all texts must use Times New Roman 12.
    • The article should comply with American Psychological Association 7th Edition, in particular the citations of other authors and references. SABTON uses the author-date format for citations and references. See samples below:
    • SABTON prefers articles using IMRADC format (Introduction, Methodology, Results and Discussion, and Conclusion). Other formats may be considered at the editorial board’s discretion as long as the main elements of the research articles or book reviews are contained. 
    • Footnotes can be used to give side comments or additional information such as, but not limited to definitions peculiar to the term/concept. Footnotes to the text are numbered consecutively.
    • All tables should be numbered with Arabic numerals. Headings should be placed centered and above tables. Leave one line space between the heading and the table. Only horizontal lines should be used within a table, to distinguish the column headings from the body of the table. Tables must be embedded into the text and not supplied separately. Table contents should be typed in font size 10 and the title should be typed in font size 11.
    • All figures should be numbered with Arabic numerals (1, 2, …n). All photographs, schemas, graphs, and diagrams are to be referred to as figures. Line drawings should be good quality scans (minimum of 500 dpi) or true electronic output. Low-quality scans are not acceptable. Figures must be embedded into the text and not supplied separately.
    • Authors shall use the equation editor or Math Type for equations when textual discussions embed statistical symbols and the like.
    • SABTON prefers submissions of articles in the English language but also accepts those in Filipino or Waray. Articles written in Filipino or Waray shall provide an abstract in English.
